Are You Kidding ME!?!?!?

Well, we had a great weekend. Friday night we hung out at home. Saturday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at my sister's church (I will post pics in another blog), went to church Saturday night, Sunday we slept late, I dropped clothes off at a consignment sale that is later this week, then we all went out and ran errands and spent the rest of the night at home.

I noticed Saturday that Mateo wasn't eating as well. He usually takes 30-40 minutes to eat, but he has only been eating for 10 min tops since Sunday afternoon. He also started getting a stuffy nose Sunday night. I put him to bed around 9ish and he was up at midnight. At 1am I finally moved to the living room with him because he was so congested that he couldnt sleep. I sat up in the chair so he could sleep, but I couldnt sleep this way. Around 2ish he started this aweful sounding cough and I could tell he was running a little bit of a fever.

I decided that it would be best to go ahead and take him to the dr.

I didn't have my camera with me, so I took pics on my cell phone. This is how he looked as we waited on the dr to come in and see us...
After the dr checked him out for a bit, she gave us the bad news....

DOUBLE EAR INFECTIONS!!!
My immediate reaction was "ARE YOU KIDDING ME??" I actually said it out loud and the dr kind of gave me this crazy look. Here were a few of my thoughts....
-We just got tubes for Tatum so the ear infections would stop in our house.
-Mateo is only THREE MONTHS OLD!!! My poor baby!!
-I have been feeling guilty that I didn't breastfeed Tatum very long and was told several times that because of this, it was probably the reason she got so many ear infections. But with Mateo, the little guy won't even take a bottle if we want him to....wasn't this supposed to PREVENT him from getting ear infections!?!?!
Needless to say, I am pretty frustrated at hearing this.
Anyway, the dr wanted to do a breathing treatment for Mateo while we were in the office. Needless to say, Mateo didnt like this at all....

I had to stand up for about an hour, holding Mateo, and rocking back and forth just to keep him from crying so much. He still cried, but I tried to keep him from sobbing!
Well, that's all I have for now. I am frustrated that he is already getting ear infections. I was hoping he wouldnt have to go through what Tatum has gone through with these stupid things. I am definitely going to talk to his regular dr. at his 4 month appt. I don't plan to wait as long for him to get tubes. If he is going to get ear infections, we will get him tubes alot sooner.
Please keep my "little buddy" in your prayers that he will get to feeling better. I hope he sleeps better tonight because I am so tired!!

Girl...I nursed both kids and they have had ear infections too. Brady had one set of tubes and you know Kaden has had two! I think it's genetic and has nothing to do with nursing! I will be praying for the little guy and keep us posted on how he's doing!
